This censer is from the official kilns ware field of the Ming Dynasty Chenghua period; it is ear-shaped and resembles the hands on the court holding a tablet.
It served as a unique incense burner for the royal family during the Ming Dynasty. Large, varying-sized, and colored flowers arranged in a leather ball pattern that appears both regular and asymmetrical arranged to create a design akin to a bouncing ball of flowers.
This stove's primary and secondary colors, as well as the shine of the soft materials, are painted in gold over a pattern of dark grass, followed by pastel flowers. The stove's knob is constructed of Shoushan hibiscus stone, and the lid is carved with a ruyi design in purple sandalwood. The knob on the lid is made of Shoushan hibiscus stone, while the lid itself is carved with a ruyi design in purple sandalwood.
