This stove evolved from bronze, which was commonly found in ceramic materials throughout the Song and Yuan Dynasties, incense burners, and copper stoves during the Ming Dynasty's Xuande period. Finely carved, simple and delicate, the feet and ears are entirely hand-carved, employing the branch firing technique to ensure that the bottom of the feet are glazed and will not scrape the tabletop. The lid is constructed of solid purple sandalwood, while the knob is made of hibiscus stone from Shoushan. Appropriate for creating incense sticks.
